Things Like Other Things

If you take a big Zildjian cymbal - like 18" or more - and hit it softly and then let it vibrate until you can't hear it when you're standing three feet away, and then you put your ear half an inch away from it, you can hear a deep roaring sound, like a bass guitar.

If you bite your lip and lick it at the same time quickly in a certain manner for a little bit, like for thirty seconds, it tastes like snow.

There's a window in the basement of my dorm that has brown-paint framing that smells like pavement after a hot rain if you have your nose really close to it.

Peace out.
