Accosted!

I was accosted by a strange man tonight.

I was at the building right next to SciLi and I decided I didn't want to sit through Pan's Labyrinth, so I decided to walk home. I made it all the way up Thayer St. alone without any problems, and then I turned to get back to my dorm. Right then a guy in an old white car pulled up and put down the window, and said

"Hey buddy!"

And I was like.... um.... okay I think this feels wrong but maybe he's legit so I guess I'll see what's up.

"Yeah?"

"I know this is weird, but... I need to ask you a small favor, do you think you can help me?"

And I was like, "Uh.... I'm not .... really...."

At that point he said, "Look, dude, I'm a sane, educated man, I'm not trying to hurt you." Which was a clear indication that he was not sane, not education, and not not trying to hurt me. He said, "This is the first time this has happened in my life, but I can't find any gas station in the area and they're all closed" and I just said,

"I don't think I can help you."

It was very clear that I could not and should not help him. I think you figured that out by now. Why would he pick me? Alone? In a back alley? Why would he assure me that he wasn't trying to hurt me? Anyway, there were a couple girls walking through, so I joined them and said thanks to them later for protecting me, then came back to my dorm.

Peace out!
