First Monday

So I got up today a little later and went to breakfast with Sam and Nupur and whoever else we would meet. We ended up meeting a bunch of kids, including Jules and her neighbor Joella.

Last night I went to a carnival and I sang "Sugar We're Going Down Swinging" karaoke with Nupur. Apparently a girl named Yanely took a picture of me... still waiting on that.

I took the math [calculus] placement exam today and Dr. Banchoff told me I should take 3rd Semester calculus. I was so happy! But I'm also anxious. My dad was afraid of that. We'll see how it goes.

Today I went down my buddy list and sent a message to everyone. Just to say hi. It was pretty cool.

I ran into Christine at the calc placement exam. She's the one in my unit who plays piano, went to an all girls catholic school, and ate so many carrots when she was little that she turned ornage/yellow. She was really cool, and asked me to eat lunch with her, but I had to run around.

So I went to look for the music building and went WAY TOO FAR but then found it and it was closed... I was sad.

Then I tried to find the post office, and I couldn't find that, either.

Then I tried to find the place where I have to sign my scholarship and couldn't find that either.

I also had that book meeting about the Proust book. The advisor (Steinberg) didn't really like the book, but for some reason he gave a LOT of talking time to the kids who liked the book. They had some really interesting things to say, but I wish I had heard the kids who didn't like the book speak up more. I'm sure they had really interesting thoughts on the book, too. I met a kid there named Arthur, from New York, who seems like a really nice guy and lives in Pembroke [Emory]. Hopefully I'll see more of him.

I need to eat lunch!

Peace
